NOTES FOR EXHIBITORS

All cats must be registered with the GCCFI before exhibiting at Cat Shows in the Republic of Ireland.  Please note the following important advice from the GCCFI Registrar

NOTE 1

EXHIBITOR NOTICE FOR CATS/KITTENS BORN IN NORTHERN IRELAND OR GREAT BRITAIN.

If your cat was born in Northern Ireland or Great Britain you will need the following for registration with the GCCFI:

1) Original 3 generation certified pedigree (complete with any attachments) from GCCF, 5 King's Castle Business Park, The Drove, Bridgwater, Somerset TA6 4AG (cost 10 pounds sterling)

2) Copy GCCF registration/transfer to your ownership

3) GCCF of Ireland Application to Register form completed, together with €15.00 fee (or, if preferred, a sterling cheque for UK£12 will usually cover the euro amount).

4) If both sire and dam are registered with the GCCFI it is only necessary to comply with (2) and (3) above.

NOTE 2

EXHIBITOR NOTICE FOR CATS/KITTENS BORN OUTSIDE IRELAND, GREAT BRITAIN OR NORTHERN IRELAND

If your cat was born outside Ireland, Great Britain or Northern Ireland, you will need the following:

1a) Original 3 Generation Certified Pedigree from the Registering Body (i.e. CFA, FIFE etc)

2a) Copy of document confirming you as the Registered Owner

3a) GCCF of Ireland Application to Register form completed, together with €15.00 fee.

4a) Details of Pet Passport Scheme, or quarantine details*

*Cats being imported from outside the UK or Ireland will normally have to go through quarantine for 6 months or have a Pet Passport which takes about 6 months to arrange. Details can be obtained from the Department of Agriculture.

NOTE 3

EXHIBITOR NOTICE FOR EXHIBITORS WHOSE REGISTRATION PAPERWORK HAS NOT BEEN PROCESSED PRIOR TO SHOW ENTRY

In order to show a cat under RAF (Registration Applied For), the minimum requirement is that before sending  in your show entry form, you must first send a completed Application To Register form, with appropriate fee, to the GCCFI Registrar, and if applicable a note from the GCCF or other recognised Registering Body (i.e. CFA, FIFE etc) to say that you have applied for the necessary documentation.  The Show Manager is obliged to cross reference any RAF show entries with the Registrar prior to show day.
